Outside NYFW F/W 2017: 3.1 Philip Lim

I find it upsetting when someone says that fashion is frivolous and materialistic, but I, and the amazing women that I have met in this industry, know that it is much more than that. Fashion is not only an art form used to express ourselves but is a timeline of our lives. Fashion week has long been used as a means to confront women's issues of the time, and this year I noticed solidarity in a recurring peaceful reminder that we will not be forgotten, we will not be silenced, and that we are stronger together.
